BISS is dedicated
to create new tissue engineered medical devices that replace and/or
enhance tissue function that has been impaired by disease, injury, or
age. BISS products are designed to assist this
process at every step from Characterization of Native Tissue to Cell
Culture to Evaluation of Tissue Engineered Products.
The new TE200, TE200PB, and TE500 test instruments are designed to cover all of your tissue engineering and characterization applications. These new systems are small enough to fit in a standard incubator for all your living system applications and powerful enough to test new combination (tissue + predicate device) medical devices. They also allow researchers to choose the tool which fits their project as opposed to choosing a project to fit their tool. Featuring either a 200 or 500 newton screw action motor with an integrated displacement transducer, the stimulator can be used to provide tension/compression with the LigaGen L30-1 chamber or with any of the CartiGen chambers.
These lightweight, compact,
corrosion
resistant construction is compliant with most bench-top incubators.
The TE40 Stimulator is a voice coil linear motor with a frictionless flexure bearing system. Featuring a 40 newton linear motor with an integrated optical displacement transducer, the stimulator can be used to provide tension/compression with any of the LigaGen, CartiGen, or DermiGen chambers or to provide pulsatile pressure to the LumeGen or CardioGen chambers.
These lightweight, compact,
corrosion
resistant construction is compliant with most bench-top incubators.
Provides pulsatile and shear stress stimulation to a vascular construct. Available in single and multiple chamber configurations with material properties feedback and control.
Provides oscillatory axial stress stimulation to tendons and ligaments. Available with additional stimulation axes in single and multiple chamber configurations with material properties feedback and control.
Provides oscillatory axial stress and perfusion to cartilage constructs. Available in single and multiple chamber configurations with material properties feedback and control.
Provides media perfusion to bone constructs. Available in single and multiple chamber configurations.
Provides oscillatory axial stress and media perfusion to skin and "skin-like" constructs. This bioreactor system provides an air/media interface to maintain dermal differentiation. Available with material properties feedback and control.
If your application does not involve one of the standard tissue types above, chances are we still have built a system that is adaptable to your application. BISS also has recognized the need for scalability and automation for many cell and tissue growth studies. BISS's Series Bioreactors were designed to be scalable allowing for simultaneous multi-chamber experiments to enable translation to clinically relevant regenerative medicine.
